hydrated tissues
our mobility is greatly determined by how hydrated we keep our fascia. think of fascia like a sponge, if it dries out and becomes brittle, but hydrated fascia can bend and bounce. fascia is 70% water and loves slow, steady melting pressure. this sustained compression squeezes fluid out of the tissues and when you lift up or change positions on the renewdle, even more fluid is pulled into the area and drawn into the cells.
